The foundation of any growing business is the ability to generate new sales, fact! The type of business you have will dictate which method you focus on to generate those new sales, but the telephone and the internet are always going to be near the top of your list.
Wether you make 200 calls a day to prospective clients or send email after email, stability and reliability of your communications is essential, after all, you can’t grow if you’re not connected.
How to sure up your connectivity.
1. Choose VoIP. – If you’re not familiar with VoIP, you can read this article to get up to speed. For those that know of VoIP or are indeed utilising the many features of voice over internet, then you’ll already know how awesome it is. If you rely on the phone to stay connected, VoIP will allow you to move pretty much anywhere in the country. If you needed to divert calls to mobile, or temporarily relocate, VoIP will go with you. Traditional ISDN systems are static and will stay at the premises they’re fed into, zero flexibility.
2. Always have a backup. – From time to time you can expect, there to be an issue at some point with your broadband connection, wether it’s essential maintenance, natural disaster or you looked at your router the wrong way this morning, things happen. However, having a backup will allow for your team to switch from your main connection to the backup with little disruption to your day.
3. Go big. – If you really want to be the talk of the business park, having what’s known as a leased line to your premises will be as close to perfect as you’re ever going to get. A direct connection that is yours and yours alone will give you a safer, more reliable connection for you to run your connectivity services over. Although leased lines are a little more expensive than a regular broadband connection, you really do get what you pay for. Leased lines are perfect for businesses dependent on the internet, and also for businesses who don’t like sharing!
